Dear Family Member/ Designated Representative,
I would like to inform you about some of the things Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is doing in order to maintain “Open Communication” with you during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center’s Nursing and Social Services Departments have been calling the Designated Representative/Family Members for each of our Residents in order to provide you with updates on your loved ones medical health and facility status and to answer any questions you may have. We believe that this personalized contact enables you to remain involved in your loved ones plan of care. We understand that it is very challenging and emotional to not be able to see your loved one in person at this time. We greatly look forward to the day when we can welcome you all back through the doors of Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in order to spend precious time with your loved one. Until then; we are happy to arrange for Video Chat sessions and assisted phone calls in order to enable you to communicate with your loved ones. We encourage you to reach out to our Therapeutic Recreation Department to arrange for Video Chat or assisted phone calls.
Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center has also been updating the Facility’s website daily to provide up-to-date information on the amount of new COVID-19 in house positive cases in the past 24 hours as well as the number of COVID-19 positive deaths in the past 24 hours. Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is also sending out periodic robo calls/mailings. If you are not receiving these robo calls/mailings please contact the Social Services Department to provide us with your updated mailing address/cellphone number. No new confirmed COVID-19 Positive in-house cases, No new COVID-19 positive related death.
Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center continues to follow the guidance from the New York State and New York City Departments of Health in regards to infection control protocols. Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center has appropriate PPE and screens all staff and Residents on a daily basis. Bezalel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is utilizing isolation precautions when necessary in order to minimize cross contamination.
